Acknowledgments

There are a number of individuals who assisted in bringing this project to fruition, first and foremost, Rabbi Camille Shira Angel, who spent countless hours working on this exhibition, along with the students of the Honoring our LGBTQIA+ Jewish Elders Community engaged learning courses since 2020.

Acknowledgments from Rabbi Angel:

I have been blessed in my life with many older, wiser, LGBTQIA+ elders. Each of whom has enriched my life and taught me life lessons about aging, my history as a queer person, and offered me and our students opportunities to share our hope and dreams about the future.

We are grateful to our queer elders who volunteered their time to teach us, share, and invite the students in to help curate their legacy stories.

I also want to specifically thank former University of San Francisco undergraduate students Lydia Scott, Megan Shirron, Kei Mccarthy and JSSJ staff MJ Abrams and Victoria Farlow.

We are grateful for their assistance.

As for the content of the exhibition, thanks goes to the Teaching Elders:

Rabbi Allen Bennett, Avi Rose, Bobbie Becker, Eli Andrew Ramer, Jay Cohen, Joss Eldredge, Lisa Szer, Marcy Adelman, Mark Leno, Mike Shriver, Pam David, Paul Cohen, Sandra Marilyn, and Tova Green

We are indebted to these individuals.

Thank you to Ari Salomon and Katerina Georgieva of the website design and development team, Hello Ari.
