Lisa Szer
Lisa Szer, April 22, 1952 - born in Israel to Holocaust survivor parents, who met at a DP camp after the war and arrived in Israel in 1949. Lisa came out in 1973. She oped a lesbian print shop in New York City in 1975. She was a worker for several years at the Womyn’s Michigan Music Festival. Lisa became a parent in 1983 and is now the Tata of two grandchildren. Lisa has been a major benefactor of SVARA: A Queer Radical Yeshivah, as a way to embrace Judaism, which she had felt estranged from as a lesbian. She has been Honored as a Queer, Jewish Elder over three cohorts of University of San Francsico undergraduates.
