Irene Ogus
Bio
Irene Ogus was born in London and moved to San Francisco in 1970, where she eventually found her way to the queer synagogue Sha’ar Zahav. She became the synagogue's treasurer and was later asked to join the Board of Directors. Irene is the epitome of strength and determination, embodying the qualities that her legacy video students "wish to emulate as queer women." She has inspired their lives through meaningful conversations, constantly pushing them to strive for self-improvement.
